Last week designers, developers and trendspotters took to the streets of Austin for the annual SXSW Interactive. Fighting a sea of moustaches, beer and light-up schwag, Manifesto attended a myriad of events hosted by some of the world’s biggest (and smallest) start-ups. Highlights include breaking the Guinness Book of World Records for number of adults assembled in one place wearing onesie-style PJs, a Burning Man-esque camp at Austin Caravan, a sumptuous Summit Series dinner with Nicole Patrice Johnson and X-Prize founder Peter Diamandis’s call to social action. The only thing SXSW offered too little of was, well, sleep.

This year’s awards season was a landmark for Manifesto … since we got to join the celebration! Thanks to the U.S. Ireland Alliance, Manifesto enjoyed a night with the stars at the annual Oscar Wilde Academy Awards Party at JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions in Santa Monica. Highlights included an introduction to Steven Spielberg and chatting with Star Trek favorites Karl Urban and John Cho. Check out more star-studded photos here.
